The Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia organized the fourth annual conference called Science on the ‘Edge’: Perspectives for the Future, attended by colleague Damir Dominko, gifted high school students and their professor Marko Movre, and the project leader Berti Erjavec.

The aim of the conference is to create a platform for open dialogue on the following topics: the position and visibility of women in science, the role of the social sciences in the light of the new industry 4.0 and the emphasis on STEM occupations, cooperation between industry and academia, and the visibility of science, women scientists and scientists in society. Also, the conference will present the work of Croatian researchers within the MCAA Croatian Chapter. The conference is divided into five panels, in which invited speakers will discuss the topics mentioned above. Furthermore, there will be brief presentations of “good practices” and projects between the panels. The speakers at the panel are Croatian and foreign experts and representatives of the European Commission.
