On Wednesday, December 8, 2021 we were visited by a group of students from Poland and Estonia accompanied by the host, the 15th high school from Zagreb. The Erasmus + project carries out activities aimed at promoting and developing students’ knowledge in various fields, including physics.

50th Astronomical Summer School was held from July 15 to July 22 at the ”Petehovac” Resort located near Delnice. Our colleague, Dr. Silvije Vdovic was invited speaker with lecture “Adaptive Optics and Lasers”.
The Institute of Physics this year participated in the Zagreb Science Festival, whose theme is colours. We attended the festival with a workshop and a lecture.
In TV Show Science Circuits (HTV 4), Dr Damir Aumiler spoke about Frequency Comb and a Cold Atoms Laboratory led by Dr Ticijan Ban.
Colleague Dr. Tomislav Vuletić hosted in TV show Prometheus (HTV 1) in the part entitled “Science with a Signature”.
As part of a series of lectures on “Nature of the Live” on Thursday March 7, 2019, in the Library and reader Bogdan Ogrizović, our colleague Dr. sc. Đuro Drobac held a popular lecture on magnetism.
In the TV Show The Third Element broadcasted on March 6, 2019 participated our colleague Dr Petar Popcevic. The show tells about knitting material that would guide the current without resistance at room temperature.
The latest issue of the Mathematical-Physical Journal is an article of Dr Petar Popcević and Dr Ana Smontara about the high-entropy slits which, due to their extraordinary properties and poor theoretical understanding, are in the focus of research into the physics of condensed matter and material science.
